May 9, 2010 by marek.miller

TabletSummitThe launch of the iPad is a milestone in the digital publishing era. Everybody talks about tablets nowadays. What is most important to us is how this gadget will affect the newspapers business, and how publishers can monetize it. Has this question crossed your mind as well? Make sure you will attend the Oxford Tablet Summit next week.

INMA, together with Innovation Media Consulting prepared a just-in-time summit looking at the iPad, and the tablets. The goal of this conference is much more important than simple introduction to the new digital platform, so make sure you read the summit programme. On May 18th in Oxford, you will be able to find the answers to the following questions:

  • how publishers can benefit from the iPad and other tablet deviced in 2010?
  • what do iPad and other tablets mean for journalism?
  • where is the money in these new digital platforms?
  • is there any room for paid content and advertising on tablet devices?

If you are a newspaper or magazine publisher, an editor, designer or developer – make sure you join this one-day summit in Oxford. You will find everything you need to know about tablets there: best concepts, prototypes, new digital narratives, new journalistic grammar and techniques. Last but not least, you will be able to find out how to develop paid-for business models for tablet products and content.

Before we meet in Oxford, make sure you learn what Juan Senor of Innovation Media Consulting has to say about iPad and its role for the newspapers and magazines:
