Krakow, Poland: Main square by nightINMA’s Outlook 2010 conference has not yet started (few more days to register!) and another great news came today from the headquarters of the International Newsmedia Marketing Association in Antwerp, Belgium. INMA has chosen the city of Kraków, Poland, to host its next year’s European Newsmedia Conference from September 29 to October 1, 2010.This conference is a prestigious three-day event, where hundreds of newsmedia professionals from all over Europe will gather in Kraków to take part in a range of networking, lectures, debates and workshops about the latest media trends and the challenges.

Inge van Gaal, the European Coordinator of INMA said today: ”For the ?rst time, INMA has chosen a new EU member country for its main annual conference. We believe that Poland, with its unique economic strength in these turmoil times in the European Union and a vibrant newsmedia industry, is the perfect choice to host the conference about innovation and transformation strategies in print, online, and mobile”.

The city’s successful bid to host the INMA conference was led by the Convention Bureau of the Municipality of Kraków and was supported by the Mayor, the Marshall of Malopolska Region, and the chief editors of newsmedia headquartered in Kraków: “Dziennik Polski”, “Gazeta Krakowska”, “Gazeta Wyborcza Kraków”, Interia.pl and RMF FM.

”Kraków is recognized throughout the world as an authentic old and charming historical city and as one of Europe’s of?cial cultural capitals. However, it is still to be discovered as the dream place for educational and business meetings like our conference. Kraków has a great location between the West and the East, travelling to this city has become easy and affordable with many direct ?ights, and its convention facilities have met international quality standards”, added Ms. van Gaal.
